I am new here but am very sorry this happened to your chicks

. I would be heart broken if something happend to my new chickens. ( dont know when they go from chick to chicken)

On the bright side, you will really enjoy the next set and watch them like your own children. I have found that I spen less time online and at tv now, I sit out side anwatch mine. Thare are very relaxing...

It's devastating. Only raccoons, people and very smart dogs or fox can open latches. It's also very rare for coons to be out and about mid-day.
