I can't stress enough how much this whole thing bothers me. Even if only 50 out of the 600 eggs/chickens hatch that is a large amount of chicks that will need a home.

Ok, you can relax. I asked her what she does with the chicks and she said that there are a lot of teachers in the district that want them. They have chickens at home, and they just add them to their flocks every year.

Also, the lady they got the eggs from in the past always takes back the chicks that don't get taken by the teachers. Since she's downsized her flock and can't supply the eggs they don't have that option this year, so they've offered chicks to me. Said if they have ones that don't have homes would I take some. I told her I would.

So she sounds very good about getting them good homes.
