You might be better off starting again - just to make sure you are setting the best eggs possible.. Even if your ducks were likely to go broody- as long as you collect the eggs every day-they wont have anything to sit on anyway. To make things easy....mark a few of the eggs in the nest now and throw away the others- then collect the new ones laid each day for tomorrow onwards. It will only be a few extra days- but well worth the wait if you actually get ducklings to hatch this time. Keep the eggs somewhere inside where they wont get effected to much by any cold drafts- and turn them 2- 3 times a day while you are collecting them .
I actually started setting the eggs from my Indian Runners as soon as they started laying last year- My first setting was only three eggs, two were fertile- and one hatched- so even first eggs can be fertile. The next setting was more eggs- 7 i think..... and all of them were fertile that time around. I think its most likely that the current cold weather is what has effected the viability of your eggs- so keeping them inside the house will help solve that problem.

Also... The ducks kinda lay back to back. The Golden Cascade gets Towards the End of laying her eggs, While the Rouen Has Begun to Lay her eggs..(in the Same Nest) But, I always leave an egg or two in the nest so they remember where to lay because they would end up laying them around outside.

Update...lol ~Okay, this is what I did.....I put (19) eggs in the Incubator Today, & left 2 eggs in the nest.(this is so the ducks don't forget where to lay the rest of their eggs.) The 2 eggs are OLDER, dated 1/29 & 1/31. So the eggs in the Incubator should be from 2 ducks, approx. 1 to 10 days old.(I couldn't decide which eggs to toss or which to keep) For the next 5 days I will collect & date more eggs(daily) or until I Candle the eggs in the Incubator and hope to find fertile eggs.

~Mean while, I Mist the eggs 2x a day, Temp is 99, Humidity is 55-60.

Update #2.... 8 out of 19 eggs were fertile. The 8 eggs seem to be developing well. They are due to hatch March 8th. The 5 eggs which were collected before I candled the previous 19 eggs, were Set Five Days after, on Feb.13th. These 5 eggs Are also Fertile & due to hatch March 13th. Temp has been mostly 98-99. Humidity changes more often 50-60. Most times after I mist, humidity will jump to 70 but, only for a short time. ~It's getting close to Hatch Time~ Julie
