Some of the Cuckoos are feather-legged. Mine are about half feathered and half not.

The solid BCMs that I have are very feather legged. From the hock/starting joint of their feet, all the way to the toes. (They come from Davis lines, which have feathered shanks. http://www.bevsmarans.com/black_copper.htm)

I absolutely love the containers that you turned into brooders. I was trying to come up with a way to keep baby chicks inside without them being bothered by my 4 dogs, and this would be a great way to do it. Aside from being inexpensive, I could keep the containers anywhere in the house without creating a mess, which means I could easily keep them away from the dogs.
