Blue is gone

Saw a coyote next to the garage this afternoon when I got home (or something that seems like one) and ran to check on the ducks. Found 2 swimming in the pool and went to find Blue. I found her dead next to the water dish. Not a mark on her, so it wasn't the thing next to the garage. Both DH and I had been wondering the last couple of days if she would get better as it seemed more than a broken wing - she just wasn't right the last few days. Though she did eat like a pig last night and I gave her a dish of peas before bed


Good bye my sweet little ducklet

May you have eggs to sit on that will do something

May your wings work like they used to

Maybe you'll learn how to fly better (or at least land better)

Oh No.. I am so sorry to read this. Blue was such a gorgeous girl- such a wonderful character- and so very pretty. Im sure she will be greatly missed- both by your other two ducks and by you and your family as well. My thoughts are with you at this hard time. She had a wonderful life with you-
