This is bit of a surprise to me. I have 3 buffs
And 3 light Brahmas, born May 11. I did not expect to start laying this late in the fall, one Buff, Wendy Peffercorn, named from my oldest Grandson, started about 2 weeks ago.
I just thought this is a fluke. The rest will start in spring, today Henrietta named after my favorite Rhode Island Red I lost to neighbor dog, whom I loved, laid her first egg. None yet from the light Brahmas which are definitely bulking up. Does anyone else find this surprising. I’m in Northern Ca, which it’s been very warm here, unseasonably so.
