I have ten chicks. We will probably end up with 6-8 since some will be roos and our town only allows females. Is a 51x51 coop size large enough? We found one we like that is reasonably priced, but not sure if thats large enough?

Feet, inches, cm...? If in cm or inches, no. Inches gives you room for 4 chickens, cm gives you room for one.

51 inches! And its 6 feet tall. I live in Livermore, California. Our yard is large. I would like them to roam around outside of the coop and run only while I am home, since we have 12 neighborhood cats.Feet, inches, cm...? If in cm or inches, no. I am looking at building a 4'x8' coop with a 10'x30' run for a flock of no more than 6 hens for egg laying. Based on what I am reading here that should be big enough for that size flock, correct?
