we have a tv show in Alaska where the young couple raises two turkeys and names them them thanksgiving and Christmas . In my family we talk about what traditions we love and what things we want to make a tradition for the future. Now we want to have a family reunion. for just me and my children and grandchildren. so why not pick a day and have your family over one day for a meal and fill out notes of things you are thankful for and fill a bowl with these notes and go around the table with each person pulling out a note and reading it out loud.

I call my Cockerels Chicken nuggets, BBQ and etc.

It is great that you have family close enough to come over for a special dinner like that!

I am TELLING ya, RON, we need to rename this thread the 'Orpington Hatch Along'

This must be the year of the Orpington....It must be the new color patterns, Crele, Partridge and etc.

They are so pretty!

My neighbor has a mixed flock of Australorps and Black and Blue Orpington hens...with the teeniest little barred Cochin rooster as a 'mascot'. I love to watch them, but they're all floof!

I think I'll stick with my barnyard mixes for now.
