hey guys so about my incubator question yesterday......... if i get the sportsman cabinet incubator by gqf.... what will happen when i have to raise the humidity for hatching?? do you think ill lose the rest of the eggs that i have set that i have to hatch a few days later?? or will the other eggs be fine during lockdown for the eggs hatching??

He did it, the carrier even took a few minutes to carefully wrap the box The eggs look beautiful, a dark brown. One may be cracked - I am not certain. They were double boxed, double wrapped, and in an egg carton with the fat side up, so the shipper took very good care of them. Right now, they are sitting on the counter, acclimatizing to the house temperature. They were cool, but not ice cold when I unpacked them.

Did you pay 4$ an egg? My Pet Chicken is a middle man for Meyer Hatchery here in Ohio. I tried getting broiler eggs from them and they told me 4$ an egg I passed since the chicks were cheaper

WOW! I should really use that idea! anyways, the eggs wouldn't be able to begin the incubation because of the cold! great idea once again!!

raising humidity for hatching will not hurt the other eggs when doing staggered hatching.

You're welcome to wait & play w/ us, but personally I'd set early if I was you. The older the eggs the less chance of a healthy chick hatching, so if you got 'em set 'em would be my advice.

Speaking of late starters, so far I've got this list going so we can stick w/ it into the new year...

Anyone who finds their eggs arrive late or whatever, copy the list, add yourself, and we'll stick together to cheer on the late hatchers even as others are nursing hangovers or heading back to normal life ;>

hey! Im on that list, I have sort of set muscovy eggs under a broody hen. Not sure when ( or if) they will hatch something is stealing them. Ill be giving her more eggs that will hatch after the fourth if she looses her muscovies. Im very excited its my first home grown duck eggs!

raising humidity for hatching will not hurt the other eggs when doing staggered hatching.

If you are hatcing in the same machine, you want to have at least a week between setting eggs, so you dont raise humidity all the time.
