Can you show splash old english game bantams? Im asking way too many questions lol But thats another breed i want to raise, and it sounds like something that would show.

I do not have a copy of the APA! I hear there is a sale so maybe need to put it on my Christmas list....

Most breeds do not allow for Splash though.

I think I have the hatching bug again. Someone call the Doctor quickly!

I found the first egg from my Wheaten Penedesenca pen and of course I want to incubate it. I do not put the Rooster with them too much but he was in there last weekend. I think I need to get him out there more and start collecting these eggs.

I will do a fertility check on the egg....The Dark brown one in the picture.

Here's my silkie hen that went broody yesterday and she is now on 4 eggs even no it's November here in Ohio and snowy and cold I hope her chicks will do ok with her

I have been working on getting the colors for several years of hatching. I find hatching to be the best way to get both beautiful breeds and colorful eggs.

The dark egg came from one of the three on the right in the first picture.

The pullet on the left is a Kittle RIR, the one at the back is a Wheaten Pene and the two others are Partridge Penes. The Penes are from Our Fly Babies and the RIR is from Horstman.



The bottom picture is of two Partridge Penes.

No but I send any chickens that die here in for necropsy so I have a clean flock so far!

Of course there is mareks and they found a small number of cocci cysts.

I am very excited to have the Dark egg layers going again!

Can you post a link to that CL draft standard? I know it is on here somewhere...but where...
I'm trying to figure out if this CL pair I have are any good. This pic was in Sept, I need new pics as they both have filled out and look much nicer now. (Ignore the SFH pullet w/ them, she is a hatch mate who 's new bf will be arriving next wk)



oh & the hatchery Del, "Ruby" ignore her too (she & 3 other old hens have been teaching CL jr Roo "Prince" to be charming. It is going very well, after 2 months of them pushing him off the top rung roost every night he now is very sweet , finds the girls treats, etc and they finally let him sleep on the top rung, all eggs started being 100% fertile after that, and he is still nice

Gotta go shovel some pens & get things set for the new birds & hoped for NYDH babies!!!

Hi I'm getting a surprise collection of 24 eggs- standards and 1/2 are blues -blue laced red wyandottes, blue pros, blue aneracauna, blue copper marans, blue Andalusian...Should be nerve wracking and interesting. The other half are a surprise assortment of standard and bantams.. Could be anything.
