You also don't want to turn or mess with eggs during lockdown because you want to keep the humidity in the incubator high.

so does the bator instantly lock up or do we take all of the eggs out of the turner two days before hatch and l the eggs sit on the bottom?

I don't know anything about your incubator but i imagine you take them out of the turner a put them on the bottom. I am sure someone else can clarify.

im new to incubating...I always had a broody momma do it for me! haah

at day 18, you take the eggs out of the turner, fill all of the channels with water to get humidity to 70% and set the egg back for hatching.
I use either egg cartons or a plastic hatching tray.
We will have lots of fun posting about the hatching process, which on BYC we call Lock Down when we get close to Day 18.
