I wish to join this hatch along. I've never done one before and my wife may kill me for hatching this time of year but this seems fun.

Some parts were cold. There is snow to the north of us. It did get down wo 24 yesterday morning but the high was 45.

I doubt your eggs froze.

Frozen CA is worrisome b/c I know the person shipping my eggs was out of town part of the wk, so not sure if their farm sitter was on top of egg collection in the weird situation of that weather...

But shipped eggs is shipped eggs, so time will reveal all.

& If *I'M* on top of it, maybe I'll get a couple more from my layer flock b/f noon Wed (fingers crossed). I had 100% fertility in 6 eggs & 5/6 hatched that I collected Oct15 from that young CL Roo over those same hens so I'm pretty confident that if the egg didn't get too cold, it will be otherwise great and make a robust barnyard mix chick :>

Butts of the egg facing up...right?

Also, out of the 21 eggs recieved...only 4 broken!!! Awesome!!!
