what are the dangers of having an egg thats not fertile in the incubator with other eggs that are?? will it burst or something??
oh okay. thanks ron. how do i candle quail eggs?Usually eggs will be fine for 21 days in the incubator. Nature made them able to last that long.
It is almost always shipped eggs of egg that have and the bloom washed off that go bad in the incubator.
Rotten eggs usually ooze and that is dangerous because of the bacteria.
Saturday night for me. I was a smidge early, but only about 12 hours early.
So far, nobody stinking - that I can detect, anyway. Can't see anything through the shells, so I gave up on candling. I hope I get at least one pretty blue marans pullet out of thisI would love to have a dark egg layer. Well, considering my other two pullets aren't laying yet, I would love to have ANY egg layer
Sending lots of
wishes out to everyone![]()

Saturday for me too. And, I am also hoping for one marans egg to make it. Had to throw one out today, no air sac to speak of..as the other had a nice sized one. I have 5 Rhodebars doing well.
I have a couple of marans eggs with air sacks that I can't see. Does this mean they aren't viable?Saturday for me too. And, I am also hoping for one marans egg to make it. Had to throw one out today, no air sac to speak of..as the other had a nice sized one. I have 5 Rhodebars doing well.
The Brinsea has an adapter with a small opening for quail eggs. I imagine a short length of 5/8s hose might work with a flashlight.
