I shared on another thread, but wanted to share here too (and to brag )... Kalli, our chocolate lab, whelped her first litter on Thursday! I'm the proud "grandmama" of 7 adorable puppies!!! All are healthy and nursing like champs! She had 2 chocolate males, 3 chocolate females, 1 yellow female, and 1 blonde female! They are absolutely PRECIOUS!!! (Yep, I'm a first time puppy grandma myself!) Here's pics...

So cute! Our chocolate lab passed back in may. He was the most amazing dog ever! Love labs!

I must not have enough birds for the waterer inside the coop not to freeze. I'm taking it out every morning, thawing it in the sink with hot water, filling it back up, and taking it back out. Have had one waterer crack on the bottom already, so I'm using my spare until I get to the feed store!

We bring ours in at night, take it back out the next morning............
Of course we are retired and have more time available.................
Also, very sweet puppy pic's....

My NYD Babies are 3 weeks old and I know of Three for sure Roosters!

I may actually only have 2 pullets this time.

THEY ARE ALL SO BEAUTIFUL! I want some! what are they crossed with again? and would they be considered OEs?

They are Cream Legbar X Crele Penedesenca Hens crossed back to a Crele Penedesenca Rooster. They will be 25% Dark egg layers and 75% Olive Egg layers.

I hope I get at least one that lays Olive!

I am a little late, but here is Hawke's 3 week birthday pictures! She has entered the awkward 'ugly' phase.LOL The little babies follow her around like she is there momma, and the buff orp chick is almost as big as she is even though she is 2 weeks younger.
