Her foot seems to be dead and then castrating van is placed around right above her joint the skin peeled completely down around her foot completely wrapping around her foot!! She is five weeks old and I would say she is less than a pound I do not know how long to wait on his band is placed for amputation to happen and is it safe to cut skin away that was pill down on accident

Why does her leg need to be amputated? A castrating band is not the best option for that. It will kill the leg, but I don't know that it would remove it. Your best bet is to take her to a vet if you can to have it done quickly. The castrating band is surely causing her much pain. Honestly, if I had to amputate a chicken's leg, I'd likely put the bird down. I know others who would keep her, and that's their choice. My chickens free range and it would be at serious risk from prdators.

I’ll post some photos on it in about 20 minutes the cause of everything as unknown ever three day. Her foot swelled turned black and skin has been scaly and pilled off the man where I got her from said put a band on which is only been on for five minutes and do use a tool to make a sharp clean-cut

Can you tell us what was wrong with the leg to begin with?
Did you put the band on the leg or did she have a band already and it was too tight and caused the leg to start to die?

She is finally laying down I’m not sure if you can zoom in to see how black and swollen as it is. The band was placed above the joint just a couple of minutes ago cannot afford a vet but when the skin peeled around fit there is absolutely no blood how long after placing a band is it safe to amputate

If the man that you got her from is instructing you to do this, can he not help with the procedure?
