My friend has done this cross before, Both offspring had faint barring. One was dark blue barred with some red streaks. (that one turned out to be a boy) Another looked alot like yours except the barring was more noticeable. (that one turned out to be a girl)

That's great news, Blackbird12! Thanks so much! I'm a little disappointed to have only 2 girls out of 7, but at least they will still have each other when the boys leave home.

Well, they are almost 12 wks old now, and the predictions were correct! 5 & 6 are the only pullets. Thanks for your help! I've decided to keep #2 anyway. He's turning out to be a very beautiful cockerel, and friendly too.

Here are a couple recent pics. I just love him! You can see those bright orange saddle feathers coming in.

We've named him Peregrine. I can't wait to someday get a pullet from the same cross.
