5yr old hen, retaining liquid in the breast area.

I'm so sorry!
I was just reading this thread because I've got a hen who seems to have water belly. I don't know what to do for her. I'm really worried.
I too am searching for water belly help... my hen is miserable and I tried to drain her myself (not easy and I was very nervous) I removed about a cup of liquid but it was a darker green like maybe bile mixed in? Then she started gasping and coughed up fluid. Then I stopped and want to try again in a few days but I need help! And I don't think it should be green! I don't know if she'll make it but she's perky so I feel like trying my best. She's not eating much ( no room for food)... have you found out anything?

If she's perky that's a good sign, If you tilted her too far forward that could cause her to "throw-up" (not good, they can aspirate) If you need more help read the thread I suggested above, it helped me with my hen with water belly, ascites.

This hen I lost, I was not able to solve the sour crop fast enough.
