Still trying to figure out if this Sunny of mine is a Hen or Roo? I'm hoping a hen, she's very caring towards my 3 weeks old pullets (1 BO and 1 leghorn). Help please...

About 6 1/2 weeks...I was very sure a pullet, since that's what they told me when I got her but then the comb starting to color

I definitely will. I'll post another in a week, they grow sooo fast!

Buff Orps can sure fool you. From just that photo, I'd say male, BUT I have personally been fooled by a pullet that I thought was a cockerel in this breed before. At around 12-14 weeks, you would start to see the pointy, super-shiny saddle feathers start to emerge on a cockerel.

That's what I've been told by my neighbor who has a couple of buff orpingtons. He just waited until they laid an egg or crow. I'll have to wait and see too.

Haha, well, you don't have to wait that long, generally. The saddle feathers may show up before a male begins to crow, then you'll know.

This is Sunny(top) when I first got her at 3 days old while the other chick(bottom) is at 6 days old. I was told that they were both pullets.
