Are these show quality? Who did you get your start from? Have you won any show awards?

We have had some APA show wins (BV, RV, BB, RB, and Best English) from some of our birds in the past 3 years. We are breeding towards the standards, but not every single one are "perfect." Some of our Buffs came from BYC breeders, including Hinkjc and a few of them are production birds from Ideal. We kept the Ideal hens because of their thriftiness and egg laying abilities.

We are also breeding for broodier hens. We encourage them to go broody and kept hens that have strong mothering abilities. This trait seems to be passed on from one generation to the next. We are doing this primarily to reduce our dependence on articial incubation.
