6 chicks inroducing 5 more should I have another brooder set up or can I add them to my exsiting brooder ?

I have waterer and feeder in my brooder now. should I make another brooder for my 5 new chicks? I have medicated feed. will have to buy another waterer and heat lamp. I have a plastic bin with lid I can make into brooder.

Are they the same size and age? Maybe somebody else can help.

Depends how old the other 5 chicks are. If they are more than a week or two old, I would suggest setting up another brooder next to your old one. It is possible the older chicks will trample and hurt your incoming babies. Better to be safe than sorry!

my current chicks have feathers just starting to grow in. 2 silkies are bigger than the smallest silkie. I have 6 chicks currently 4/6 have feathers already I will upload a picture of the current chicks.

Those chicks are tinyyyy! You should be totally fine to introduce another couple chicks.

You seem to be doing a great job mamma!! Keep up the good work One suggestion I have is to put a lot more bedding in their brooder. This will help them stay balanced and keep them warm. You don't want any leg problems from slippery flooring!

my new chicks are about the same age as my 6 chicks I started with.
