I originally thought it was tomato vine poisoning when the first died, now I've lost 4 more and I'm guessing I'll lose another tonight based on the way shes acting.
Theres loss of appetite and they hadn't been drinking much, and their laying stopped completely, no eggs for a few days now. They've definatly lost weight, and some have what looks like fowl pox on their combs and wattles, I've checked for wet pox in the mouth and I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. The ones that died would just lay around and act lethargic sometimes standing around with their eyes closed. With the ones that I have left their skin is pale, and the combs flopped over.
I've checked for mites, they haven't been dewormed which that is something I want to do now.
Other things theres a chicken thats not doing the greatest right now and it was shaking it's head almost like there is something neurologically wrong.
I've been searching through tons of posts looking for an answer and looking across the internet to see what this could possibly be, any have an idea? Questions? I think I pretty much covered everything.
I'll probably call the vet tomorrow, I'm not sure how much he can tell me about chickens though.
