I set the eggs on Monday. Today is Friday and I was hoping to see some blood vessels but nothing....lots of clearness....
I'll give it a few more days and recandle them.

Lisa Im sorry to hear that. I put all of those eggs in the bator (11). and they are all developing and are going to hatch the 9th. Yes Please leave them in the Bator for a few days more. Is it all the eggs or just the Polish??

Sometimes they just dont do good with shipping.

Tell me what happens.

Hi Lisa,
I do not candle our eggs for 7 days... That way we know we are not making a mistake...
And some members believe that picking them up and turning in the first few days can kill the fragile beggining of a chick..

I am hoping you wait till MONDAY to candle again... Then you should see veins...
We have some of the same birds eggs in the incubator now and they are due to hatch next week end :)

GOOD LUCK!

Thanks Flufnstuff,
I've had really good success with local eggs, some from a friends farm and others from local farms in the area, in the past years.
This year we got 4 out of 11 silkies from eggs from my friend's farm ... 7 of the eggs were not fertile...nothing was developing.

I will candle them again after Monday and see what is what I am crossing my fingers They will be developing!
Lisa
