6 Hens but never 6 eggs. Why?

Well on Tue. the 19th I finally got 6 eggs from the 6 hens, One of them must have matured late.They all were hatched on 6-1-09 and I started to get eggs I believe on 10-15-09. I guess it took one of the girls 8 months to mature. But now they are all earning their keep.
