6 Hens sleeping in one layer box

Hello,
I have six chickens and at night they all seem to pile in one 12"x16" layer box. They are 14 weeks old and not laying yet, should I keep the laying boxes closed off until they are laying or just let them do thier thing?

You might want to consider closing them off for a while.

Also make your roosts higher than your nest boxes, that usually seems to interest them in getting out of the box and onto the roost to sleep.
