I have 4 eggs collected right now, but their should be a couple more. This BIN ends Friday, March, 16th at 10:00 PM CST
I only have a quad of Bantam Lavender Ameraucanas. My birds are from "Little Ameraucana Mom" here on BYC.
The little Lavs are very sweet natured, when I let them out in the mornings the little rooster is always strutt'in his stuff to me and the girls. He goes around with his chest all puffed out crowing. He is very sweet little guy. They will all come up to me and eat from my hand. These little birds are very tiny, they all have cute little muffs, the color of their eggs make them worth having in your flock alone. They look like over sized Robin's eggs. Their egg color is just gorgeous! I have Olive Eggers and some Easter Eggers and some of the EE hens lay pale blue eggs, almost white, their is no comparision in there egg color.
In the sunlight these birds look grayish in color, but in the shade you can really see why they are called Lavender. Their coloring is so pretty.
So if you want a bird that is sweet tempered, has a unique coloring, and lays blue eggs as a bonus then these are for you!
