Okay--here's a slightly more recent photo after they were moved into their new pen...you can see Mildred coming out of the coop--she is a splash and pretty shy most of the time so she's harder to photograph than Abigail.

I actually haven't gotten any splash chicks from this trio, though--so I'm not sure if you'll get any or not...I do get a lot of blues with buff & lemon blues.

One day, I heard his HORRIBLE ruckus down there--the dogs were gathered around and I was holding my breath as I raced out--hoping it wasn't a weasel or something...well, the day was warm so I'd left the main door open (nothing can get the chickens unless it goes through wire and/or plywood that way)--anyway, Butters had strolled in & made himself a "nest" on top of my brooder (the heat lights were toasty!) Apparently, that freaked out my Sumatras & they got everyone else fired up. He was sleeping through it though!

Cats are amazing, especially confident ones (like Butters)! I only have indoor cats, because our dogs would kill them if they were outside! My cats do get to see chicks quite often, I think it's odd they have no interest in them.
