would some of the non-white offspring have black skin/bones or does that not exist in this line.


re the white / pearl inheritance... do you have generational records that you could create a family tree or pedigree? It would help in seeing the inheritance pattern. Love genetics in other species but just learning poultry

I don't have the records built up on my own yet, but it's very much an observation that others have made over time, without having formal records. There must be something unique about the gene, as how else could any 2 white birds have non-white offspring? I really do want some genes gurus to weigh in on this!

I'm interested in having these genes shared.

but that doesn't help much with poultry, does it, other than to confirm what you already know- that this can happen. But there certainly are inheritance patterns that can be looked for, and genes worked out from there....
