My 6 month old ameraucanas have started to lay eggs! This is my first experience with raising chickens. I am only getting 1 egg a day so I am assuming that only one hen is doing the laying but she will not sit on them so I have no clue which one it is. Why wont she set on them? is she just too young? I want to hatch more chicks. I know they are fertilized (I've seen the act).

Congratulations on your first eggs! Hens will set on eggs/go broody whenever they want; there is no set time. Most of the time, though, newly-laying pullets don't go broody--it will probably be a few weeks before your pullet might go broody. But she may never go broody, either. Some hens do, and some don't.
