(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I picked up my first ever day-old brood from the hatchery a week ago today.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I have six chicks
(3) What breeds do you have? 1 each: Rhode Island Red, Barred Plymouth Rock, Buff Orpington, Wheaten (BBS) Olive EE and my bantams Mille Fleur Belgian Bearded d’Uccle and White-Crested Black Polish.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? I am fascinated by how fast they are growing in general but I can practically watch their feathers grow in! It’s been an amazing week!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I volunteer at a farm sanctuary once a week and I enjoy gardening and have a little veg garden. I love house plants, birds, and rustic camping. Anything nature-related and relaxing is where you will find me.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I am married and have two adult children, one still in college. My 90-yr old grandma lives with my and my husband in western PA. We have two small dogs.

I’ve seen quite a few referrals to this website in my chicken socials. This site also comes up a lot in Google searches about chickens.
