6 month old Buff Brahma Sexing

Hi everyone,

I bought a sexed Buff Brahma hen who I am now thinking may be a male? Fuzz (his/her name) is confusing me a lot. Fuzz is about six months old, hasn’t laid any eggs, and we haven’t heard any crowing. But Fuzz also has prominent saddle feathers and hackle feathers.

Anyone with more experience with Buff Brahmas have any idea what Fuzz is?

Those thin, glossy feathers in the saddle area are male specific. So he's a cockerel. This breed can be very slow to develop. If there is a more dominant cockerel or rooster about, that may be stopping him from crowing.
