6 month old chicks, no eggs yet!

December 6th
6 − 1.8 year olds are still laying (and it's COLD!) except the 2 BR that are molting. (3 BR, 2 golden comets, and 1 RIR) - golden comets being my best layers!
5 − 21 week olds and no eggs. (SS, Sultan, Blue Andalusian, Golden Campine, EE)
2 − 18 week olds and no eggs. (white leghorn, cuckoo maran)
4 − 11 week olds just being cute. (gl polish, bl polish, wcb polish, salmon favorelles)

I am starting to think that I'm going to have to wait until the spring for my younger ones to lay.

They do free range in my fenced in backyard, but I haven't found any eggs laying around in all the possible hiding places.
They are all healthy.
The older ones eat layer feed.
The babies and the sultan (coopmates) eat chick feed. - These do not free range regularly... only when I can stay out there the whole time. They are still Eagle Bait so they don't get out much.
The 18 week olds and 4 of the 21 week olds have access to chick feed and layer feed (they are coopmates with the 1.8 year olds).
Neither group is over crowded.
They've been in their sleeping arrangements for over a month now and all get along just fine.

I am guessing it is just time that is against us since the days are getting shorter and it's in the 20s-30s at night.
My Sussex and Favorelle should be winter layers (as is my BR and RIR). I am at least hoping that my Sussex starts laying before the spring (Favorelle is still kinda young!).

Here's to hoping.
