Ohh yes 2 years and you can leave her assistant messages and she will never call anyone back! I asked others and they have told me she doesn't want to be bothered with backyard flocks only large operations! I think that is (blank) and I pay enough tax dollars and I also have farm status I would like a call back. But, you can join the surveillance program and apply for a breeding selling license. They will come out every three months and test your chickens not the ducks. Its better than nothing

Also I tried to call and complain to USDA but it doesn't do anygood

Please do let me know how you make out

I talked to the DH this morning and he is worried that 5 more is too many for the size of the brook and duck house
sad.png
I tried to convince him to alter the plans for the duck house and he said its too late b/c he's already framed it. OMG this is soooo upsetting!!

Anyway, I called my girlfriend with the 100 acre farm and she said she would talk to her DH about them but, wants to know how much you would charge for all 5.

If you want to PM me instead for carrying on in here I understand.

Thanks,
Beth

Beth... no charge for all 5, but a bag of Layena Crumbles would be nice

As long as I know they are going to a good home, and not a dinner plate, I am happy. Feed is always welcome.

Okie Dokie, I will let her know and feed is probably not going to be a problem for her. She doesn't eat meat or any of her many many animals. I can promise you that. She's not into the computer otherwise I would have her talk to you directly.

I just hung up with her and she's going to see if her DH says yes and then let me know. Only problem is she's asking me to go get them for her b/c she is booked with spring Birthday Parties at the farm plus she is a teacher. If you'd like I can get you some nice silkies for you to hatch. I have really nice bloodlines and would not mind giving you a couple if the girls lay well if she sends me to meet you. I'm working on my photo's today and will be posting. I have Blue's, Partridge, Partridge blues, and white's. Unfortunately my white girls stopped laying b/c they were broody in early March and hatched out 2 chicks each. They dropped a lot of weight and are focusing on getting back to plump again

Let me know

Great! Ooh.. I could use some blue and partridge silkies.. do you have chicks or eggs? If you are interested.. I have white silkie/showgirl eggs that I may be able to trade. I know you mentioned you have whites, but if you were looking for different lines.. I have Bobbi Porto and Bob (Ultra1classic) lines. My roo won 1st place (best of breed) in the Bridgewater fair this year. My ladies are all gorgeous too, including the showgirl hen (who has been laying every day). The only thing is that I do have 1 partridge hen thats in with the whites (I would hate to put her alone in the other pen, she is 3 years old and my daughters favorite). So there may be an egg or 2 from her in there mated by the white roo.. otherwise all the whites are pure. Let me know.. I just finished loading the bator for tomorrows Easter hatch along (Mahroni).. I have hopefully 22 eggs to set at noon tomorrow.

I love Bobbi's birds I have a couple here. I had more but, sold off two pullets this past fall. Oh yeah I wouldn't separate her. The silkies love to have buddies

Lets see how she makes out with her husband. I know he's going crazy with spring time farming over there.

Hi,

I just got home from puppy class with my friend that has the farm. She said no luck with the DH! Argghhh I was hoping he'd say yes so I could go and play with the ducks at her house since my DH said no already!

No such luck

She said he couldn't build her a new duck house intime to take care of them plus he didn't want the cleaning responsibility. Sorry it took so long to get back to you but, she was trying to work him over and he just didn't go for it

Anywhoo, if you are ever in the area of New Haven County let me know. I would love to give you some silkie eggs to try to hatch out and mix in with your flock. I have the blue partridges laying like crazy now so I hope they keep it up!

Take Care,
Beth
