So me and my brother got a dozen eggs of ebay like ive posted in other threads .. Today (6th) is the hatch day for the first 6 that came..
The first "pip" came at 11pm last night ... 8.30 this morning it was hatched
.. Boystress little cheeper .. Dont know what breed they are yet because they were from a "lucky dip" so to speak.. The chick is Black/Silver with a yellow underneath and yellow wing tips...cute
Second pip came around the time the first hatched .. At 3.30pm This one hatched ..Its slightly smaller than the first, Its nearly as cute as the first .. Gold and white this one
At the time of posting this we have 3 more that have pipped ..and one that hasnt but is moving .. Ill post more news as it comes
..
Been a good day so far.. For our first hatch attempt ever its looking promising ...
5 more days and the second set will be ready
... Already looking for more eggs for the next attempt
===
UPDATE1 :
1.05AM : Third chick hatched..This one has taken ages to arrive..not suprised though its HUGE! .. This one is all yellow and silver and has 5 toes
3 down 3 to go ...One is close to zipping, already poked a hole in the shell.. One has just a"pip" and one still has no signs and hasnt moved for quite a while ...
UPDATE2 :
8:00AM : Woke to chicken number 4..couldnt tell exactly when it hatched but was still a little wet at this time ... This one is smaller than the rest, and all black..still very cute though looks a little like the first minus the yellow belly ..The other 2 eggs that are left stiill havent changed in anyway.. Was thinking of upping the humidity when we take these others out for the brooder
According to the guy we bought them from they are cross breeds of these birds ...
#Wyandottes.
# Rhode island reds.
# Wellsummers.
# Brahmas.
# Marrans.
# Leghorns (black, white, brown and blue).
# Sussexs.
# Buff Orpingtons.
# Black rocks.
# Bluebells.
# Speckled Sussex.
# Silver Dorkings.
Hopefully later when we teake them to the brooder ill get some good pics for you all to say what you think they are..we have our thoughts but other input would be great
