he is new to me, as are Pheasants i was told he was a ring neck- here is a full body shot to tell.
 
Look like melanistic crosses...

PHEASANTS DONT WORK LIKE COTURNIX QUAIL... YES MELANISTIC MUTANT AND BUFFS ARE BOTH DIFFERENT COLOR STRAINS OF RINGNECK, BUT IN THE PHEASANT WORLD THEY ARE GIVEN SEPERATE BILLING... OR TREATED LIKE A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT VARIETY. MANY KEEPERS SEPERATE THE DIFFERENT COLOR STRAINS. MANY FANCIERS HAVE ONLY 1 COLOR STRAIN, SUCH AS SAM WHO KEEPS BUFFS...
