I have some Silver appleyard eggs to sell now because of incubator fullness. I have been asked and pulled in everywhich way for these in person and I hadn't been able to offer these on BYC till now! I am super proud of these large beautys and they have laid non stop even after being moved and no breaks since i've owned them! they are VERY large ducks and rival the jumbo pekin even as youngsters and VERY calm and friendly birds. They are a rare and endangered breed! I will be shipping these eggs on Monday. I have some youngsters already so it's time to spread the S.AY love!

Hello!!!
Very nice Appleyards!!! This is a fantastic breed.....and, as you mentioned, highly endangered. Currently I only have a trio.....have some SQ Appleyards in the bator. They're great layers, very friendly and beautiful. I highly recommend this breed.......you won't be disappointed. If I had any room in my bators, I'd be bidding for sure!!!

How loud are these ducks? I am interrested, but I don't want the neighbors to get angry.

Mine rarely quack loudly the only nosies they really make is when the females see me and they run over to see me they make a little noise.

My 3 Appleyards are on the quiet side also. They're not very vocal unless scared or greeting me when I come out with treats.

Exactly what Ancona91 said! Mine are real clowns too

Good Morning, LMEggs!!!
I agree.....they definitely do some silly things....very comical!! I love their "happy-go-lucky" attitude in general. During nice weather I just put a chair in the yard and watch them interact amongst themselves and the rest of my feathered friends.........better than a lot of the garbage on TV (smile)....and much more rewarding.
If you ever offer these eggs again, hopefully next time all of my bators aren't full!!! I'll be looking to add more of these great ducks to my flock.
