(always works for me lol)

<sigh> I am currently not allowed to be sick. My boss has really been good about me taking time off for my kid's appointments recently. One had a root canal and then had to be fitted for braces. The other had an EEG. And next month I take them each to a new set of follow-up appointments. It's been this way all summer. So I can't lay out for my chickies because I have bills to pay and because I'm grateful that I work for a family-owned company that's so supportive of me and my family.

But... I did go home for lunch. One egg is pipped more than it was and that's the only change. My partial zip must be resting. She peeped at me but hasn't moved at all. The other pip is EXACTLY the same, and only a bump not really a true pip (no hole). These babies are a little early, so I'm going to use all the patience I can and leave them alone. Being at work helps with that...

I'm glad I checked on them though, as the temp had jumped and the humidity had dropped. I piped some water in through a vent hole and bumped the temp down a tad. Hopefully that will help my little peepers. There are 8 eggs total in this clutch so hopefully I'll see more action later tonight.

well I am glad that you went home to look. I bet you will have a baby in there when you get off work

Yeah. DH gave me a hard time about using up the gas, but I'm glad I caught the temp and humidity issues.

I sure hope I do have a chick out when I get home. Some of these eggs were older, plus shipped, so I wasn't sure any of them would make it this far. I'm not even sure what will hatch out of a few of them!! Could be cochins...
At least 3 are EE's though.

I love cochins. I have a barred cochin and she is so cute. I think she is the mom of the chicks I have been hatching with a buff silkie dad. I put one of the eggs that piped under my broody silkie and so far she has not kicked it out. I can't w8 to see how she acts with her new baby.

I can understand about the gas but glad you trusted your instincts to go home and look

only 2 are out I will get a pic of the one I think is buff. it is still wet so looks kinda funny lol
