6 tons of sand?? Really??? ETA: 4 tons is not much!

I would try putting some sort of barrier (wood or??) Around the outside of your runs....otherwise, they do kick it everywhere and it will blow away, too...

This company is about 15 miles away or so. They charge 6.50 a ton or 13.50 to deliver it to our house. With the number of trips and the loading and all that this seemed a WHOLE lot easier. We have a little tiny truck. They charge 13.50 per ton for 1 ton or 10 tons, the amt. doesn't matter.

I do wish I would have gotten more at this point, but it will be nice to add some more to make it look pretty again. We also need some for my son's sandbox but first things first! My husband says we'll have a 2 x 6 all the way around the bottom but we may need to add some tarps or something. Thanks for the heads up!


They said it was construction sand but it is very very fine. No small pebbles at all. Hope it is gritty enough for them.
