6 week old chick with a string on tongue

whelp I haven't the heart to wake her, but my stalker presence woke her up anyways lol. It's hard to make out but she's the light colored larger pullet on the bottom left. Jack, another pullet I've come to really love, is snuggling next to her. Jack is named so because she looked pretty rough when we bought her, hence the name Jacked Up. Anyways jack seems to be the little protector of the group so it's no surprise to me that's who gave me the stink eye from next to The pullet in question when they felt my lurker self watching.
My fan of deadly string was named boo boo by the kids today.
So. Boo is looking at me with concern. She's breathing well and doesn't seem to be in pain, I don't see any unusual behavior.
I know I should pick her up and check out that tongue but man I hate to be the bad guy. I'll wait till daylight, I've got a head strap flashlight and a pair of hobby tweezers borrowed from the neighbor to make this tiny a little easier waiting for me on the table. If I can I'll take pics.
See you on the flip side guys.

How did the chick get the string? I mean it's understandable, they peck EVERYTHING but if you know how she got it you might be able to prevent any other chicks doing the same thing.

I checked her again and she's looking really good! The seam ripper and the nose hair scissors really did the trick.
Thanks everyone!
