6 week old chicks?

What kind of chicks are these? 6 weeks old, my daughter brought them home from biology class. Hatched from local farm eggs, could be a mix?

Both have feathered feet, partridge one has 5 toes.

Partridge one is a pullet and mixed breed, likely has a Silkie parent.

The blue is a cockerel and I’d say also a mix, likely has a Cochin parent.

I agree both are likely mixed, and the dark one appears to be a little cockerel. They're super cute

Crossbreds. 99% of "classroom" chicks are crossbreds.

No I have 11 older chickens, started this spring! I’m figuring out chicken math!!

Yes I figured that but looking for ideas on predominant breeds...

Going to have to wait until they are fully grown and mature then. Chickens can change drastically from chicks to adult and I don't just mean in size. Post updated pics at around 6 months of age.
