6 week old chicks

Hi all I am new to BYC as well as raising chickens. I have 6 week old gold comet chicks they won t go in the coop at dusk . What should i do

Pick them up and put them in. After a couple days they will go in on their own

It may take some training. I usually lock my new ones in the coop for a week. Then I let them out in the run for another week (or more) and ensure everyone ends up back in the coop at dusk. When I feel they are all getting the idea of being back in the coop I will let them out to explore more. I always seem to have one or two that need some extra motivation to head back into the coop. Eventually they will get it.

I just recently moved my babies outside to their house and would pick each one up and put them int he house then they went to me just bearding them in and now when I go out to put them in they are all already in. Give it a week!
