6 week old porcelain d’uccle

Is this little sweetie a rooster? 6 weeks old. Just a little pink at the base of the comb. Those pointy tail feathers though.....

I'm not completely sure, but I think that it's a little cockerel.

Most d'Uccle cockerels have more color by 6 weeks, but the comb is pretty darn developed. I would say cockerel.

Thank you! I guess we’ll find out! I’m in the suburbs so I’m not supposed to have roosters, but this chick is such a sweetheart.... if it is a cockerel I’m going to wait until he proves himself a nuisance before re-homing.

...I dunno.... I've owned d'uccles for years, and the combs on the cockerels usually develop strong and fast... on first glance, I would guess pullet.

Fingers crossed!! That comb is confusing based on the pics I’ve looked at!

Most do get color super early. Could very well be a pullet.

Just updating for anyone comparing their young d’uccle to pics here to try to determine gender. It’s a boy! He started crowing yesterday, at just over 11 weeks old. Here’s an updated pic:
