Hi,
I have a pot belly pig who is now 6 weeks old. He has been living inside since I got him which was when he was only 3 weeks old. Now that I have him eating solid food I would love to know when I could have him living outdoors. I intended on him being a mostly indoor pig but with having four dogs already and having experience from growing up with a pot belly who lived outdoors I have decided that it's best for all. I'm just not sure when he can start living outdoors. Thank you!

Pigs aren't kept warm by their mother like a hen but do sleep together for heat. Do you have other pigs? They do easily generate their own body heat but since he is indoors since now you will have to acclimatise him to the outdoors. Put him out during the day when you can keep an eye on him and check he's not to cold. Then put him outside for his first night in a proper shelter (4 walls and a door) with a heat lamp, as the weeks pass lift up the heat lamp reducing heat slowly until you don't need it anymore. This is what I did with a lamb presume the same will work for a pig.
