So I thought she had Bumblefoot. Been soaking both feet in epsom salts for a week. Spraying them with bumblefoot spray. I seen no injuries. It has not improved. I am new to this whole chicken thing. Any thoughts?

Welcome To BYC!

How long have you had her? Where did she come from, is she an Ex Batt or?

Where are you located in the world? Are you in the U.S. or?

I agree, it does look like Gout. You can try treating with Tart Cherry Extract, information about dosing is below, but it would be good to do some heavy research to find out what else you may be able to do to try to reduce the urate buildup. Vitamin therapy may also help along with other acidifiers.

I'd keep her on clean dry bedding if possible, soaking may help to keep the feet clean and keep the lesions from worsening.

We have had her 3 yrs. We purchased her from Rural King. Supposed to be Americana breed.

We live in Southern Indiana.
