I have to stop going to the feed store!! A customer returned four pullets because they weren't right. I stupidly looked into the brooder. The store owner told me they were going to be culled that night.

I did a quick inspection and two were beyond what I was willing to deal with. Two appeared to have strong feet, although toes a bit crooked. They seemed to stand firmly in my hand. Store was closing
so I made a rash decision. I took two birds home (add them to the one I took home on Sat.)

So now I have 3 SLW's that don't stand or walk normally. I don't think they're splayed. When they walk it's as if they just got off of a horse after a long ride. I was told that they were not this way younger,
but they have developed this way. I told the store owner I would keep them for a week and see if they get worse or are at least able to function as they are. I can return them to be culled if they get worse.

What can I do for them this late in their development? They can run around and appear to have a decent appetite. I have them with my other pullets in a big pen on on shavings. I have perches in the pen
as well.

Anyone?

Edited because: LOL!
