Looks like a rooster to me. But I’m not really good with silkies. @fluffycrow

I'll agree, that's a lot of comb for a 6 week old. I'm usually not one to mess with sexing silkies, but I'm fairly certain on this one. Better be safe than sorry, though. @MysteryChicken @Debbie292d @2ndTink

That's a cockerel. Defined wattle lines are also visible.

It truly is too soon to tell. It doesn't even have streamers for a couple more months. That comb whilst could be a bit large right now, may stop growing. I have a hen that if I didn't tell you she was a hen, you'd guess roo by her comb.

I really hope it’s a girl I can’t have a roo in my area I’m definitely going to do a test this week to confirm. It will break my heart if I have to rehome him

Oh yes roo
