6 weekers in the snow?

    There is snow on the ground AGAIN and I was so looking forward to letting my chickies out and play a little bit soon. Can I still let them out even if there is snow on the ground? Are they going to freak out and try to run from me when it is time to go back in the garage? It is between 30-40 during the day.

    I would not. I would wait till they are about 8 weeks and fully feathered.

    I agree with the other post. I let mine out but I had them in a chicken tractor. I ran a electric cord and put a brooder lamp with a 60 watt bulb in the lamp in the tractor, so they could go in to warm up, but I live in Florida. The rule of thumb is 95 degrees temperature their first week with a 5 degree decrease each week. If you follow that recipe the temp for them would be 65. At 8 weeks 55 degrees.
