6 wk cuckoo marans roo or hen?

This is my favorite out of my flock and I'm praying it's a hen. What do you all think?

I'm afraid my vote would be cockerel at this stage. Those shanks are really chunky and it has pink wattles already even if it's comb is not that pink yet and upright stance and it has quite wide white bars on it's feathers .... all point to it being male.
I'm going to guess that it is probably also the friendliest/ boldest of the chicks which usually makes them favourites and usually indicates male.

I'm still holding out hope cause out of 4 I got from a farmer who sold me them at 3 weeks old, I've already returned 2 about two weeks ago that were obviously roos...if 3/4are roos I'll be so disappointed! Anyway, thanks for your input. Here are more pics. Just still hoping it's a hen lol

Certainly looks like a handsome cockerel.

Here is my Roo in as many stages as I have photos. I have two, one Roo one Hen. When they were a few days old they looked exactly alike, but as time went by, the Hen stayed dark and the Roo went Silver.

As light as the plumage is, and as well developed as the comb and wattle are... That's a cockerel. There's no doubt there.


Oh, and at this stage, they're pullet and cockerel, not hen and roo. They won't be that until their a year old.
