I very much late to this but I have found that these types of combs get pink early even in hens. Wyandottes also have this comb type and they get a pink comb early. My hen had a red comb very early on at about 8 weeks. Pink/red combs early are definitely an indicator of cockerels for the most part except for these combs as they can also be a pullet too.

Will definitely save you some stress and worry next time! I've been in that boat before. Once got an order with 3 roosters when I only ordered 1 and more recently with my order ending up with a rooster when I have two already.
