my six and half year old hen is mostly just sitting on her roost in the run and yawning. when she’s not sleeping, every few minutes or so she will yawn every few seconds for about a minute. she is eating and drinking. still very interested in treats. i looked at the poop under her roost and around the run but it all looked very normal. i also felt around for her crop and couldn’t really tell if i could feel it. she is acting a bit more lethargic than usual but she often has days where she’s a bit slower. any advice would be very much appreciated. thank you!

Photos of her poop and of her?

If you have video of her actions, that may be helpful. Upload video to YouTube and provide a link.

Do check her crop again.
Feel of it tonight when she goes to roost to see what it feels like. If she's eating/drinking, then you should feel some food in the crop (a bulge).
Then go out first thing before she eats/drinks, re-check the crop, it should have emptied overnight (feel flat).
If it's not, then you'll want to treat her according to the article linked below.

Do look inside her beak for lesions, canker, pasty material and take note of any rotten, sour or foul odors.

You don't mention if she's still laying eggs. Feel the abdomen for bloat or fluid.
Look her over for lice/mites. Take note if she's in molt which might be making her feel a bit off.
Consider getting a fecal float to see if worms are part of the problem.

i just went out and checked her crop. it was a little smaller than a ping pong ball and right in the center of her chest in the normal spot. she was eating normally. i will be checking her crop tomorrow morning before school.

i couldn’t get a good look in her mouth but the little i could see looked normal. the outside of her mouth looked normal, too.

we haven’t gotten eggs from this coop of chickens for at least a month and half or two months and there’s no evidence of them being eaten either.

she is probably about to molt soon, too.

this is the poop under and on her usual spot on the roost.

thank you for the advice!

her crop was empty this morning and she was eating and drinking normally today.

her feathers and skin look healthy. her vent is normal. no signs of lice/mites. her abdomen feels normal.

i still couldn’t get a good look in her mouth but it didn’t smell weird.

here is the link of her yawning

Poor dear!

I'd catch her and get a good look inside her beak and check her ears for infection as well.

Any mucous from the nostrils or indication of respiratory illness? Is she coughing/sneezing making a noise when she is making that yawning motion?
