6 year old stuck in a balloon flying through the air

The family was doing some kind of experiment, the boy climbed into the balloon, there was no school today, and the brother said he watched it take off.

OMG! it looks like its deflating! This is so horrible!

The balloon is 7 feet in diameter. The National Guard is also sending out helicopters.

It looks bigger than 7 feet. wow.

Its 8,000 feet high..

I could be wrong about the diameter, they just said they are not sure if the boy is there or not. I am not sure if that means he fell out or not.

Yep it's about 40 miles north of me. My DH just called and asked if I'd heard. I turned on the news and that balloon is flat out flying. That poor little guy

And they say it's rapidly losing the helium so it's going down.

They said it is basically a mylar balloon filled with helium, I didn't catch how big it was. They said that with the way it is 'flying' it doesn't appear to have any weight in it

They said they there is nothng they can do at this altitude right now..
they cant put a chopper above it to force it down because the winds from the helicopter will suck the balloon into the helicopter..
